The data for the overall gabapentinoid ARIMA model was transformed to the log scale in order to lessen heteroscedasticity in the time series. Seasonality and non-stationarity were addressed through differencing, as recommended by the Kwiatkowski unit root test (S2 Table)18. Autoregressive and moving average terms were selected based on autocorrelation function and partial autocorrelation function plots (S2 Fig). The optimal model fit was determined using the Ljung-Box test for white noise and fit statistics, including the Akaike Information Criterion corrected (AICc) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC).

The objective of this study was to assess the cost-effectiveness of pregabalin compared with gabapentin in pNeP and PHN from a Chinese healthcare perspective using a China-localized adaptation of the Tarride et al. 5 model. Pregabalin is available for recreational use in Ukraine, despite prescription restrictions on the dispensing of medicines containing it. All respondents reported that pregabalin is available without a prescription in regular pharmacies in Ukrainian cities, including to minors. Respondents also reported that it is not difficult to obtain a prescription if necessary. This situation with the dispensing of pregabalin is observed in a number of countries around the world 7, 51, 90, and pharmacists report that the sale of prescription pregabalin prices drugs without a prescription is extremely important for pharmacy profits 208.
